Build notes: competing with a $1M+ incumbent

The incumbent in this space earns an estimated $1M to $2M a year and owned every search result. The counter was depth plus technical SEO: 746 statically generated pages with Schema.org markup, worksheet titles reworded to match how clinicians actually search, and a share-link loop where Pro subscribers send branded worksheets to clients who then see the product. That methodology already puts the site at #1 on Bing for its core worksheet queries and gets it cited inside AI answers, all while a flat $15/month plan protects the group practices most likely to spread it. Built and operated solo: content, code, billing, and email deliverability.

    Alpha engine for binary event markets: +29.0% ROI on the validated exit-signal subset across 2,878 resolved positions.

    Build notes: how the edge was found

    Roughly 30 strategy configurations died in paper trading across two earlier phases (single-whale copying, then single-wallet candidates) before one survived. Bootstrap confidence intervals on 2,878 resolved positions showed the entire edge lives in one behavior: following leader exits earned +29.0% ROI while held-to-resolution positions lost 4.8%. The final system only copies what the CI analysis says is signal. Three infrastructure bugs (a sell-path dedup error, a missing token approval, a contract ABI mismatch) were found and fixed against live capital, taking the wallet from $156 to $270 in 24 hours.

    Pre-launch audit caught a critical supply chain issue while prospects were already watching, then the hardened rebuild, a two-campaign brand system, and the production site. Banks came inbound.

    Build notes: the audit that changed the scope

    The engagement started as a site rebuild. During the client's testing phase, with early prospects already checking them out, a review of their stack surfaced a critical issue deep in their supply chain. We addressed it together before anything went live: the risky dependency came out, a hardened replacement went in, and the principal trained up on the new setup. The site and the two-campaign ad system shipped on that clean foundation. Launch went smoothly because the finding was already fixed, the campaigns locked in the audience the rebrand had earned, and banks approached the client after going live. What the finding was stays under NDA, which is exactly the point: what I find for clients stays found and stays private.

    Why I can build the hard stuff

    I'm a full-stack builder who ships real products: web apps, booking systems, internal tools, AI integrations. I also happen to be a practicing therapist (RMHCI, Florida) and neuroscience researcher, which is why I can build the regulated, data-sensitive software most developers won't touch.
